The Women’s Enterprise Consortium (WEC) has been established to foster collaboration between women entrepreneurs, research scholars, enterprise support providers, policy makers and public agencies.
WEC has been developed by a number of internationally recognised academic and practitioner institutions with the support of established women entrepreneurs. It seeks to contribute significantly to the research base and policy development in the area of female entrepreneurship. WEC is led by senior academics, women entrepreneurs, and practitioners with expertise in gender, entrepreneurship and policy development.
It has been built upon a set of research initiatives which contribute to a variety of national and international research conferences and journals. Its work also extends to national, regional and local policy and strategy influencing and development.
